The contemplation does give the reader an instance where they can just sink in the prose towards the thought of sitting in a cafe and just watching walkers passing by, as you glance towards their smiling face; thinking and comparing your experiences of joy with theirs, the thought of not being able to complete yourself with their comparisons does bring a person with unease, best to escape to a reality daydreaming where things are better for us, a reality where we are the protagonists and we can save the damsel in distress, where they can be the hero or the villain.
So many perspectives so little time; I like the way you paused between those two thoughts drawing an emphasis between pondering and daydreaming.
