I do believe, that medium told its users way before to test their policy in terms to their users. That's why effective from september 1st was added, though my only concern is that "worldwide" term. The rest is the least of my worries.

Because the nature of how that term can be used when you use the word "grant" is dangerous.

I believe people should definitely understand how a "grant" works in legal terms to know what they are bargaining with.
